My New Year resolution
As I Walk the Streets of Bethlehem
Sleep would not come
so I stepped into the night air.
The night was brisk
as I tried to walk away my cares –
so many cares.
Stand Strong
When you look at your day
and you see only dark –
You want to find some hope
but you no longer trust your heart.
The Handmaid of the Lord
Mary, so faithful, received a call from above.
A chosen vessel, she’d bring forth the gospel of love.
A calling so great, how would she reply?

of people in my life,

My thankful list
I am thankful for…
a warm bed to climb into
the food in the cupboard and on the table
the company I keep
that I am fit and able
the car that I drive
the job that I go to
the bills I can pay
all that I get to do
the state I live in
the people I know
the education I have had
the places I can go
a hug and a kiss
a warm smile on a friendly face
my small crowd of fans cheering me on
an understanding grace
trials that knock me down
strength that helps me stand
opposition that makes me grow
an knowledge of the plan
the loving family that I have
my mom’s scriptures that I read
trust and faith extended to me
a small and kind deed
the Atonement offered to me
the fact I know where I belong
examples to light the way…
this list can go on and on.
I may not have it all
but I could not ask for more
except to say more often
what I’m thankful for.

One little sheep
I am one little sheep,
one little sheep
who wandered so deep
and now I am far from home
and so alone.
The road
I love this road that I’m on
I’ve been traveling it so very long.
The scenery is pretty
and I have some good company.
I’d travel forever
never straying or turning, no never.
But that is not meant to be,
this road that I’m on is ending for me.
Never mistake a road’s end
for one that simply has a bend.
Yes, goodbyes may be tough,
but a new road is waiting for my love.
So, I will travel on
and advance down the road I belong.
