Mary, so faithful, received a call from above.
A chosen vessel, she’d bring forth the gospel of love.
A calling so great, how would she reply?
Could she deny her fate, how could she defy?
Her answer came firmly, “Behold the handmaid of the Lord
Be it unto me, according to thy word.”
When my faith feels small, I need a message from above.
He always sends a call, a reminder of His love.
The answer is so great, “Love others, teach many,
Do not hesitate – serve diligently.”
I answer quietly, “Behold the handmaid of the Lord
Be it unto me according to thy word.”
