I am one little sheep,
one little sheep
who wandered so deep
and now I am far from home
and so alone.
When I meandered I did not think of the cost.
I am just one little sheep,
one little sheep
and I may just weep.
Does anyone know I am not there?
Does anyone even care?
I cannot find my way I am so very lost.
I am just one little sheep,
one little sheep
who wandered so deep
and who do I see
searching for me?
The shepherd boy asks, “Why did you roam?
Dear little sheep,
you are my little sheep
and I did weep
because I have missed you so –
why did you go?
Come with me now, let us go home!”
