Not sure how many ways they can say it. It’s basically the same message of ‘how to be a disciple in our day and age.’ A handy reference guide for us.
Pretty metaphors are used to speak to us in a way we can understand. “He that hath ears to hear, let him hear” (Mat 11:15). “Behold, I am God and have spoken it; these commandments are of me, and were given unto my servants in their weakness, after the manner of their language, that they might come to understanding” (Doctrine and Covenants 1:24, emphasis added).
Whatever it takes for us to be true disciples of Christ (see Elder Hales talk) that’s the point of conference. All talks give us ways to strengthen our relationship with Christ and help us navigate our current world so that we can return to Him.
