Two new apostles were called to fill in the vacancies of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles during the Saturday afternoon session. Each one was permitted to share a brief testimony during Sunday afternoon’s session.
Elder Gong focused his testimony on the message of Easter Sunday and the hope of the Atonement of Christ.
Elder Soares pointed us toward listening to our prophet because “he knows the way.”

I used to pray, and to be honest I sometimes still slip into this mode, to let so-and-so “be safe.” What does that even mean? Do I really expect all my loved ones to be able to live in some kind of bubble totally protected from the world and make it through unscathed? In other words, unity is being stressed at a time when division and rifts are occurring in nations, communities, and even homes. I don’t watch the Saturday evening of conference because after 4 hours from the morning and afternoon, my focus is shot (I’m not sure what I’ll do in October when I should watch that evening session) but I do read every talk in the Ensign.
