Will you take care of me
when I’m old and gray –
when my get up and go
has completely gone away?
Will you come and visit me
and maybe even stay –
stay, stay with me
maybe even for the day?
Will you take my hand
and maybe even say –
“You may not know
but my dear I love you so.
You’re my friend
and that will never, ever end.
We may only have this moment dear
but for this moment we are both here.
So maybe just for now, just for today
we can play like it’s yesterday
and since it’s all we get it will be enough
all because the moment is full of love.”
Will you, will you take care of me
when I’m old and gray?
