Continue readingWhen I served in Young Women, one of my responsibilities was to have a chat with primary aged girls that would soon come into the Young Women class. Our chat was to help prepare them for the next 6 years they would spend on their covenant path. What did I share with them? We looked in the Book of Mormon and found the word ‘remember.’ That, I told them, was the purpose of the Young Women organization. To help them remember the teaching of their parents and build upon it.

President Nelson joked about his tease last October about this conference being “memorable” and “unforgettable” as he opened conference. No, he did not anticipate not having any conference attendees except for the speakers. But as they say, the show must go on.

If you’re going to discuss fruit then you should probably have some actual fruit handy. “Would anyone like this apple?” If someone raises their hand give it to them. “Would anyone like this orange?” Again, give away the orange. Continue reading
To demonstrate a visual of this talk you’re going to need some rocks. Or books. Ask a volunteer to come to the front of the room and ask what are some things that worry everyone during a given day. With each answer, give the volunteer a rock (or book) to hold until she can’t hold anything else. Then ask her if she’d be comfortable holding all that in that spot for the rest of the lesson.
