Imagine being called as a prophet of God. Your life’s work is to turn people to God to find a better way of life. Usually prophets have to remind (constantly) the people of their time of certain weaknesses or road blocks that prevent them from coming to God. Moses broke it down into 10 basic rules to help his people. Elijah told people not to worship other Gods. You get the idea.

As for me, I believe there’s a heaven
You probably remember this as well as I do. At the start of the United State’s lockdown to “flatten the curve” when we all started quarantining in our homes a few celebrities put out a video of them singing John Lennon’s Imagine. While the song has a pretty tune, it did not bring me any comfort. No offense to any Lennon fans out there but imagining “there’s no heaven” is not a comforting thought. Especially at the beginning of my first pandemic. For me, it is actually a depressing thought.

General Conference thoughts: “Let This House Be Built unto My Name”

General Conference thoughts: A Perfect Brightness of Hope
Hope is a word that gets thrown around a lot but what does it actually mean? For me, I have started using it in my testimony to replace “I know.” I now say, “I hope” because for me that feels more accurate.

IV. The Wrap Up
I followed Deputy Marks back down the hall unsure of what the next step was going to be. The thought of my grandma spending any time in jail sickened me. I never claimed to know everything about my grandma but this whole revelation was way too much to absorb in one night or early morning. I felt like I didn’t know her at all. Apparently, my drifter cousin Petey knew her better than me. I just couldn’t process all this information. Continue reading
