I experienced the eclipse in 96% totality. My impression of the eclipse amazed me that the sun was still shining and sharing its light with only 4% being viewed albeit the light was similar to dusk. But the sun is powerful and is designed to share its light unless it is blocked completely. A small amount of sunlight can go a long way.
Another major theme I picked up on during conference is distraction. If by small and simple things great events are brought to pass than the opposite is also true. By small and simple things we can be distracted and allow the sun (the Son) to be blocked from our view.
Has anyone done a search on how many times we were warned about the indulgent use of social media this conference?
