It is entirely possible I am wrong –
but aren’t we all searching for that place we belong?
To hear those comforting words – you are not alone.
You are always welcome here – this is your home.
Even when the light is lost and the night is so dark
and it’s an empty dream to mend your broken heart
my friend remember before you wander too far –
you are never as alone as you think you are
you are only as alone as you want to be.
So open your eyes and look, look for me
and listen when I say – you are not alone.
You are always welcome here – this is your home.

I think we need to remind ourselves everyday that we are not alone, even in a houseful of family people can still feel alone. I find it interesting that blogs play a very large part in conveying that message in one way or another that we are not alone – kind of says a lot that, it may be the main reason why they have become so popular in recent years, and why TV is on the decline. Television can make you feel very alone – it doesn’t have that personal touch that a blog or maybe even Facebook has. 🙂
I never thought of blogs as connections. I wrote this for the Young Women I work with in church. Feeling so alone (and forgotten) is not productive. It’s a negative feeling that blocks so much of life. So, I just want them to know they belong. There is a home for each of them.
Just don’t like tv, do you? 😉
No – don’t like TV 😐 But I love You Tube – there’s freedom on You Tube, and plenty of Vlogs to connect to, so no-one has to feel alone any more! 😀
