I was born to goodly parents –
I know I have been told.
Excellent but not quite perfect –
almost as good as gold.
Everyone loves Dick and Marilyn –
if you don’t, what’s wrong with you?
They are quality folk of high caliber –
loyal, superior, and true.
The saying says, the apple –
doesn’t fall far from the tree.
Hallelujah and amen –
this is good news for me!
From dad I can receive –
the gift of affability.
There are no strangers in life –
but more like friends soon to be.
Or I can be a smarty –
just like my mother, so dear.
Or inherit her compassion –
then I’d serve without fear.

The DNA roulette
saw fit to bestow upon me –
my mom’s famous temper
and dad’s fretting ability!
