Forget It

Forget it I said,

I’d rather be dead.

To go out with you,

I’d rather turn blue.

I don’t care if it would make your day,

There is absolutely no way!

I’d rather be frozen in ice,

Or eaten up by some mice,

Or even stripped to the bone,

Please leave me alone.

You go your way,

please, I will pay.

What did you just tell me?

You’d give me diamonds and a ruby?

Well, maybe you can’t be half bad,

I didn’t mean to make you sad.

I was just teasin’ and tellin’ jokes…

C’mon, I’ll take you home to meet my folks!
