I didn’t have any plans to travel this year. Last year I went to the UK but that trip was originally planned for 2020. Specifically the end of March 2020. As you recall, no organized trips took place outside the country at the end of March 2020. It was postponed twice and I finally was able to go on it last year. So, it was a no-brainer that I would not travel outside the US this year. But plans change and not only did I leave the country, I traveled all the way around the world without even knowing I was going to do it.

Homeward Bound
At least we were able to sit together on our nine hour flight to Chicago. But the plane wasn’t as nice as our plane to Berlin. The tv screens were much smaller and the movie choices lacked variety and options. No one in my vicinity became sick so that was a plus. Continue reading
Stormy Afternoon
It was a dark and stormy afternoon. No, seriously, it really was. Perhaps, the earth had suffered enough with the summer drought that the heavens took pity on her and allowed rain in the autumn. One might say that the rain, wind, and dark skies evoke the Halloween spirit. One might say that, it’s true. Another might declare it to be a coincidence and only determined by the season. Which is a proven fact. But whatever your belief you have to admit, a dark and stormy afternoon is kinda creepy.
