I tried so hard to be good.

But that just never did take.

Mischief I could never forsake.

I gave up doing what I should.

Instead, focused on what I would.

I’m not everyone’s cup of tea

and that is just fine with me.

Life’s too short to live in a box

so, I shake off all those locks

and I’m simply just gonna be.
