Let me tell you a story

of a time I went for a walk.

I had a lot on my mind

so I went farther than my block.

When I saw an unwelcome sight

that I wish I could unsee.

Even though the sun was in the sky

a partial full moon peeked at me.

I wished I hadn’t seen it

but see it I surely did.

Why couldn’t that partial

be completely and totally hid?

I looked up into the sky

and you may think me unwise

but I chose to look at the sun

and let it burn my stupid eyes.

I realize that car needed fixed

and I would be gone none too soon.

But not quick enough for me

not to glimpse that partial full moon.
