I could call you out

expose you.

But what would that accomplish

or do?

The result would be your hate

fixed on me

and create more battles

truthfully.

So I will sit here quiet

nothing to do

and wait for someone else

to expose you.

Good description of the consequences of calling out evil, but then it is better to face that hatred now than the regret later of not having done so.

You are right. I wrote this so long ago I can’t remember the exact inspiration but I feel it was more of an annoyance than an evil. Someone excelling in charming but not so much follow through. In other words, the person who comes in strong but burns out. I tend to be wary of anyone comes making promises – and then doesn’t fulfill.
