Something caught his eye

and he looked past me.

He smiled and waved

at no one I could see.

 

Although hidden from my view

I could tell by his stares

he was being entertained

by a special angel unawares.

 

When she smiled and waved

and cooed her soft “hello”

I knew it wasn’t to me

her greeting did go.

 

Careful around your little

because she may very well be

entertaining angels

that you cannot see.
