1. Haha – lovely!! 😀 I had a washing liquid container like that once, I was glad when I had finished it! 😦

   The one that irritates me the most at the moment, is a particular brand of soup in a can I like, where the lid is one of those self opening ones, just pull back the lid and it’s open. Recently, every third or fourth can, the ring pull on the lid comes off just when I’m about to snap it open, leaving me feeling useless! You’d think that I could just turn the can upside-down and use an opener to open it with. But no, can’t do that with those cans of soup because the bottom is not the right shape for a can opener to be used, something they changed about year ago. What stupid person thought that would be a good idea?! My only option is to return it to the shop. It would be so much easier if I could just open it at the other end. Not good when it’s late, I’m tired, don’t want to eat that much, and it’s the only can of soup I’ve got left! 😐 And if you think about it, that silly design probably costs the company a lot of money with all those returns. We have a lot backward thinking in our super efficient modern society!!

   So how did you cope with that detergent bottle?

2. Yes, the more efficient we become the more problems we create for ourselves. What was so wrong with the old way of opening soup cans? At least you could open them with a can opener.
   I also have problems with soup cups (not big enough for a can – a single serving size). I can open them but in the process create a big mess because the lid dips down into the soup. By the time I get it off I’ve splattered soup on me, the counter, and anything nearby. But at least I can eat my soup 🙂
   As for the detergent, I had to use the handle because it was bulky. After the first several pours though, it no longer made a mess. But we sure wasted a bit at first!
   What are we to do?! :p
