When holidays become bullies

Christmas I like you

I really do.

But I must insist

you resist

the urge to bully

your way through.

Let me just impart

that in my heart

I keep the true reason

of the season

I am not a scrooge

so don’t start.

I will not hesitate

to celebrate

when the man in red

rides his sled

in the Macy’s parade

till then I’ll wait.
