Recently, I googled “The Most Beautiful Song.”
I don’t agree with the choices. Go ahead and google it and see if you do.
Well? Do you?
The ability to make music – especially beautiful, lyrical, poignant music is one of those enviable talents that I lack. I wish I did. But I don’t. So, I must let it go and move on.
I know, I know. This means I get to appreciate and enjoy other people’s talent all the more. Blah, blah, blah. Not helpful.
But if anybody asked me – which nobody has -my opinion of the most beautiful song I’d say… I don’t know. That’s why I googled it. It’s not that there aren’t a lot of contenders out there. Because there are. It’s more because my mood changes. Sometimes one song will speak to my soul and other times it says nothing.
If I had some kind of list though, this would definitely be on it. This hymn has been a favorite of mine for many years. Especially the second verse. I first heard this particular version when my sister NJ sung it at my mom’s funeral. I love it.
Is it the most beautiful? Again, I don’t know. But it is one I listen to and it helps me feel calm and peaceful. And that’s why I’m going to share it with you. I hope it does the same for you.
In my opinion, here is one of the most beautiful songs. Ever.
