Farewell Facebook

Facebook, you evil genius, you.

How clever of you to work your way into my heart

until I’m addicted to you

So, please understand, the time has come for us to part.

That’s right, I’m not afraid to

deactivate my account and sever all ties.

No more virtual world for me –

it’s time to get a real life and try it on for size.

I’m sure Facebook’s population

will mourn the loss of my witty update and brilliant post.

All my comments will be wiped out.

All your pictures of me will feature a tagless ghost.

Brace yourself and try to be strong –

love you pokes will no more be a reality.

And perhaps the worst blow of all –

not one single of your million likes will be from me.

I promise all this will happen –

sometime pretty soon but for now it will have to wait

because genius struck once again –

and I have a pretty killer status to update!
