Perhaps you haven’t heard, the west is currently burning up. Literally. Fires in Colorado, Utah, and Wyoming are causing devastation and destruction among the human inhabitants. So much so, last week when I checked the local forecast, I saw something I’ve never seen before.
Did you notice? The forecast calls for smoke. Some days are better than others. Yesterday was not a pleasant day. When we went to bed last night, everyone had a hint of that distinct “camping-fire” stink. But with none of the benefits (s’mores). I don’t dare bring out my fire pit at the moment because we are living in a fuse that if ignited the whole town would burn to the ground. In probably five minutes.

I know someone in Colorado who was nearly evacuated, before the wind changed direction. It’s awful.
It is awful. I can’t imagine losing a houseful of memories in seconds!
