Ever watched the Back to the Future trilogy? Or spent much time on Facebook recently? If you answered yes to either of those questions then you, no doubt, know today is the day Doc and Marty will arrive as visitors from 1985…and 1955.

Is it or is it not? That is the question
There seems to be a spider infestation in these parts. I’m not the only person to comment on it. Two of my fairly geographically close neighbors have also mentioned it. That makes three which means it is obviously a problem. The other day I saw this ugly fellow (or lady, I shouldn’t assume gender) in my hamper. Mind you I saw it from across the room through the ‘pause’ like design slits. I shouldn’t have been able to see it but I did. Ick. The reason I share all this is for the sole purpose that the next part of the story seems logical, plausible, and definitely not crazy.
How I spend my time
Ever spend much time on Facebook? Judging from the pictures below, apparently I do. I just like how Facebook has determined it is my best judge of character. Sometimes just by looking at my name. Here are a few results so that you can better understand who I am. Because you know, these tests are highly accurate. Included for your pleasure are commentaries of each test. This is a much better way to get to know somebody than by, say, having a face to face conversation with that person. Right?
Movies that messed me up pretty good
I’m not a horror movie watcher. Never have been, never will be. Here’s my tolerance meter for such things: The Sixth Sense is about as scary as I’ll go. Which means I don’t go very far.
Bad day
The lesson from The Net
I went to Wal-Mart the other day. It’s probably not a nice game to play but I always wait and see how long it takes before the checker speaks to me. On this day, this particular employee only spoke to me to hand me my receipt and wish me “a good day” as she started helping the people behind me.
Are we really losing our social skills that quickly as a society? I already know the answer. The answer is, uh yeah. We are handing over our ability to make conversation to 4 inch or smaller screens that illuminate and steal our focus. So says this kettle anyway.

Sometimes it’s the very smallest and simplest things that make me smile.
