I had an institute teacher point out one time that the word ‘mas’ in Spanish translates to more. Using this, Christmas becomes ‘Christ more’ or more Christ. It doesn’t matter when His actual birthdate is. It really doesn’t matter why the holiday came about. The fact is, during this season more people are talking of Christ. We have been promised, ”For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them” (Matthew 18:20). That explains the Spirit of the season. Or as I refer to it, a seasonal spiritual hot spot.
