This Easter weekend, while the world is seemingly descending in turmoil I want to share the hopeful message that peace is still available. Not in an abstract but in a very real sense. Peace is still offered and it comes through the source of peace. The message of the Easter season is available through the King of Peace. The tomb was empty. He lives! Jesus Christ lives! And because He lives you can have peace today.

General Conference thoughts: My Peace I Leave with You
by Henry B. Eyring
Peace. What a concept! In this day and age it may seem elusive. We live in a time when ‘all things are in commotion’ and peace is but a dream. Continue reading
Remembering in Whom We Have Trusted
by Allen D. Haynie
I’m not sure why Christmas is such a big deal and Easter is not. Christmas has become a season rather than a holiday. Easter is a one-day deal.
Happy Easter 2015
I struggled with today’s post.
I finished the rest of this week’s posts on Sunday but I could not figure out what to post today. With it being Easter weekend, I wanted to have an Easter themed post. Even though I knew what I wanted to say, I did not know how.
None Were with Him
by Jeffrey R. Holland
Happy Easter! Let us remember that today is a very signifcant and important day.
And a short, condensed Mormon Message of it:
He said He was the Son of God because He was the Son of God
My mom loved a good quote. In fact, a kitchen wall is decorated with quotes and sayings she had heard and liked. Some humorous. Some profound. A few written by her children (my parents were always our biggest fans). All framed and still on display.
Because of Him
You laid down your head,
you closed your eyes.
Leaving when there’s more to be said,
without saying goodbye.
Why has this happened,
why has this happened to me?
When I seem to lose all hope, I hear a voice saying:
Don’t worry. I’ll be with you when I can, just go on,
please stay strong.
Do not worry, you may not see me right now
but I know somehow,
I will hold you, I will see you, I will feel you again.
But don’t worry, I’ll never really leave you,
because of Him.
I’ve given my greatest sacrifice and put my heart to the test.
But I realize, I’m not the only one to go through this.
I think of my Brother and what he went through –
because of Him I can hope, because of Him, I can be comforted,
because of Him, I hear a voice saying:
Don’t worry, I’m with you always, just go on,
please stay strong.
Do not worry, you may not see me right now,
but I know somehow,
I will hold you, I will see you, I will feel you again.
But don’t you worry, I’ll never really leave you
because of Him.
