Let’s look at the word error
which sounds more like a stutter.
Do you think the mumbler
was not at all convinced or sure
and said it as a mere murmur?
Such as, “I have made an err, er…”
But the dictionary writer
who always is a keen hearer
merely shrugged and said, “whatever”
and wrote it down with fervor.
So now we are forced to utter
the surplus two syllable error.
