This morning, Christian households are probably exchanging gifts. That is a typical Christmas morning. But in all the gifts, thoughtful or otherwise, do not forget the most important present: your presence.

Keep the phone off. Listen to what is being said. Appreciate the moment. In other words, be present. Be in the now.

We give presents when we should give presence. Do not substitute your presence with presents. Be part of the moment. You’d be surprised, that could be the best present you can give. That is the present of the season.
