The Case for Forgiveness

The thing is

we see the need

for forgiveness

when another should do the deed.

We look at the case,

proclaim, “Silly, in order to live

a happy life

you must be able to forgive.”

But, heaven forbid,

the table does turn

and forgiveness

is something we must learn.

Then we look at the case,

proclaim, “This matter is not silly.

No forgiveness

because no one has been hurt as deep as me.”
