When you find
the conversation is about to head south
and you must
defend what comes out of your mouth
to end it
this is what you can do
shut your mouth
because it takes two to argue
because you
still have that choice to withdraw your voice
arguing
lessens your poise and creates noise
no one wins
during an irate and heated debate
remove you
let go of that current state of hate.
