What I read….

…and the Lord said –

“It is time to cross the sea

to the promised land

prepared by my hand for the free.

Between here and there,

you must cross the great deep.

In order to be safe,

all my words you must keep.

There will be times

of darkness and despair

but trust in Me

through bad weather and fair.

So hearken now

and build this special boat

just like I say –

my goal is to keep you afloat.

When you arrive

on the shore of the promised land

please remember

to recognize my hand.”

What I thought…

…and the Lord said –

“The time is now I see

for you to become

the person you’re meant to be.

Between here and there,

you must cross the great deep.

In order to succeed,

all my words you must keep.

There will be times

of darkness and despair

but trust in me

through bad times and fair.

And hearken now,

build your testimony strong and true

just like I say

my goal is to pull you through.

When you arrive

on the shore of the promised land

you will look back

and recognize my hand.”
