I can’t sleep because you are on my mind –
I don’t believe you when you say you’re fine.
What else can I do
But say a prayer for you.
And I hope your dark clouds part and you find the sun.
There’s just always a worry when you love someone.

Oh yes, it doesn’t take much to stop me from sleeping, and worry about another person is just the most miserable thing! 😦
I think it’s worse to worry about another person. There is just no control at all when dealing with another. And if you add distance to the equation – what else is there to do than to worry and stew. And nighttime always magnifies the thoughts and makes them seem unsolvable.
I am getting pretty good at worrying. I think bed time is when it catches up with me on a busy day.
I think it’s the quiet stillness of the night. We finally can hear ourselves think (and worry). Sometimes the nights seem so long – but when the sun comes up I think, “Why was I worried?”
Loved this! Thank you!
You’re welcome! 🙂
