Thanksgiving

you know where you stand with me –

my favorite

and you always will be.

But I also

dig those summer holidays –

even with

all their pseudo-lazy ways.

Keep it simple!

with little work to do –

Ha! It’s never

simple with a BBQ.

I just love

the crowd that comes from near and far –

sitting around

the table in the back yard.

Telling stories –

laughing with everyone

(so glad I’m not

allergic to watermelon)

Be sure to

harass the grill worker –

in order

to make the perfect burger.

Gotta love

the holidays like this –

that consider

chips a suitable side dish!
