Yes, I am back

and my time off was swell.

What happened last week –

I couldn’t really tell.

It’s all a blur

so I just have to ask

why the work week

doesn’t fly by as fast?

My goal was to chill –

I wanted to be lazy.

But darn life had plans

and I ended up quite busy.

By busy I mean

naps, movies, and daytime tv –

my plate was full

as you can plainly see.

And now I’m back

and at it at the crack of dawn.

Deep sigh and pout –

was I ever really gone?

I’m warning you now

don’t ask me questions and just shush.

Let me hide today

because my brain is nothing but mush.
