If we have personal guardian angels then we can suppose we have personal destroying demons.
Our angels whisper “hold on.”
Our demons chant “let go.”

Hold on Thy Way

It seems to me that everything is in commotion, I thought one day. That’s when I realized, I am in a mist of darkness. The unsettled feelings. The inability to cope. It’s a trial that I’m going through.

The mist of darkness
came up suddenly.
It came from an unlikely source
which caught me by surprise.
Two Rivers
The river from the east
flowed down the countryside.
It said,
Born of a spring, I am clean
It takes work
to provide water for all in sight.
The animals drink from me
I give of myself freely.
I try to do the right.
Get Behind Me, Little Devil
I wake up,
the sun is shining
the new day brings
hope.
“Bring on the day,” I say.
“You will fail today,” says the little voice on my shoulder.
“Ha!” I laugh. “I know who I am. I know my plan. I will conquer the day!”
I affirm boldly.
