This is a topic I have pondered quite a bit and have already shared some thoughts regarding. But my thoughts are a work in progress and are continually being fine-tuned with new experiences and insights. So once again, here I am pondering on the subject of love. Specifically what it is and what it isn’t. For what it’s worth, this is where I am currently at in 2020 and my thoughts on that elusive yet prevalent topic of love.

Love Out There
Wow! No one can deny there are a lot of voices making commotion out there. Unfortunately, as the saying goes, “the squeaky wheel gets the grease.” It’s easy to be burdened down with all the anger and rage we hear. But, to quote Mr. Rogers, “look for the helpers.” Look for the love; love is the balance to hate and it is also out there increasing in intensity. It’s just quieter and harder to hear. I listened quietly. That’s what I do. I am a quiet observer.
His complaint was valid, I’ll give him that.
I listened to a home teacher talk about his assigned single sister to minister to. She owned her own home but was “needy” in that she always asked him to help with fix-it chores. Perhaps he was just venting because he was talking to a family friend. The problem though is that I also was there. And I related to the single sister’s situation. Continue reading
