And Nothing Shall Offend Them
Proper Way to Eat Skittles
Hidden Talents Might Be Too Well Hidden
I was sitting in a circle of women and we each had a question to answer. My question, typed on a strip of paper was, “Name one thing you do well.” We were at a get-to-know-you Relief Society Meeting and the object was to answer the question (not mentioned but kind of implied to answer truthfully). I happened to be the second to last person in the circle so I had plenty of time to think. I needed more time. I couldn’t think of one single thing. This is a relatively new problem for me. I used to be able to divulge my many virtues at the drop of a hat. But alas, my cockiness has been knocked down a few degrees.
I got nothing today…
I had all my posts done for this week except for today’s. I planned to work on it last night after a dinner date with a friend.
Well, dinner was with an old friend and we don’t get to see each other much anymore. Four hours later… we left Wingers. I have to get ready for bed although I’m doubtful that will be much use. In the space of our four hour conversation I downed two glassed of Dr. Pepper. I’m not a big caffeine drinker. When I indulge my body sometimes can’t handle it. This may be a long night.
At any rate, I do not have a post ready to share. Is it okay if I cheat? How about I share a blog of a friend? While I’m at it I might as well put in a plug for Guest Blogger Weekend – next Friday (May 9). Any takers?
Enjoy your Wednesday!
Here! Physically Anyway
To be honest,
I had a rough night.
A bad headache,
I just didn’t feel right.
Now it’s morning,
and I have to go and do.
Trying my best,
just to muddle through.
What is focus?
It doesn’t exist for me.
I keep drifting,
from where I oughta be.
Don’t ask questions,
I can’t think of such.
Don’t annoy me,
and it won’t take much.
Ms. Cranky Pants
will probably show her head.
I wish I could
take a break and nap instead.
All I ask is,
help me through the day.
If I were you,
it’s best if you stay out of my way.

Worried?
The Healing Power of Forgiveness
by James E. Faust (1920-2007)
One of my favorite conference talks. This was the very last General Conference by President Faust. So very powerful!
What’s your caption?
Red Velvet Cookies = Heaven
“Would you like a Red Velvet cookie?” my coworker asked.
I took one out of politeness. When it comes to sweets, I can take ‘em or leave ‘em.
“I just got them out of the freezer so you might need to let it warm up first,” she warned before ducking out of the office.
