What do you think you would say

if you saw me digging away?

I tell you, if I could

trust me, I surely would,

dig, dig, dig for one whole day.

With only one little shovel,

I would do it in a double!

I would start from my spot

and dig one perfectly straight shot,

I would make myself a tunnel.

And then, in a day or two,

I would finally break through

at my current antipode,

at least, that’s what I’m told,

I would come out with a new view!

But maybe I will not start yet

because I might just regret.

See, my tunnel would open

in the Indian Ocean,

and I do not want to get wet.
