A Giving of Thanks

I am what I am

all too true

far from perfect

still learning to be

and how to do

I’m still standing

even with flaws

and a little broken

somewhat bruised

but thankful because

no matter the mess

I get into

one thought comforts

and that is

at least I’m not you.
