We tend to close our heart

in the name of protection.

But a closed heart

caused by disconnection

beats with more damage

than one that gave all

and broke in a million pieces

from some kind of love fall.

A heart must be open

susceptible to love

which means a loss

will come soon enough.

But a broken heart

can eventually mend.

A closed heart

will not find love in the end.
