The Scot named John Jarvie
was known by every soul
who lived within the boundary
of a place called Brown’s Hole.
Carefully and with time
he crafted a good life,
a business, a ranch, a family,
all with his devoted wife.
Look, look!
What a lucky man was he
that Scot named John Jarvie.
Living in a carved out dell
with his Pretty Little Nell.
Not a life for everyone,
but he was in his paradise.
It made for rough characters
that seemed to be the price.
Outlaws were welcomed friends –
because survival was the key.
Knowing when to stand and fight
and knowing when to let it be.
Look, look!
What a lucky man was he
that Scot named John Jarvie.
Living in a carved out dell
with his Pretty Little Nell.
The life that welcomed him
crumbled with expensive cost
when Pretty Little Nell
became sick and was lost.
Brown’s Hole played no favorites
when George Hood murdered the Scot
and didn’t stop him at all
or allow him to be caught.
Look, look!
See that sneaky man
with a devious plan.
Surely, that George Hood
did not do good.
Look, look!
He used to be so lucky
that Scot named John Jarvie.
Lived and died in a carved out dell
now reunited with his Pretty Little Nell.

Awesome! I shared it with my friend who is a descendant of John Jarvie
Thanks Rick! John was my great great grandpa. My wife and I named our first daughter Nellie after “pretty little Nell”.
