Faith does not leave in a loud way,

slamming doors,

and causing a commotion.

Faith leaves by neglect.

Neglecting the little things,

the daily things,

the things we have been invited to do.

Being too busy to read scriptures,

being too tired to say prayers,

becoming offended and avoiding church,

we silently,

quietly,

close the door to the Spirit.

Without the Spirit

we have no foundation

when the storms come

and faith slips away.
