Many years ago, when I was still in high school, I remember listening to the conversion story of a fellow student. To this day, I remember his actions as he spoke.
Flash forward to nearly 6 months ago after the last session of General Conference. I saw a Facebook post this same person made. Somewhere in his journey he has lost his faith. Ironically, it was this talk that brought out his snarkiness. It was a sad day to learn that somebody has lost so much of what he once had.
Personally, I loved this talk. I thought it a powerful warning and when coupled with the discovery of my former classmate, it made me pay even more attention. If my former acquaintance – who I still remember his testimony even though he has forgotten – could lose faith I need to be diligent. That’s why we are told to “watch and pray always” (3 Nephi 18:15). And then don’t forget the do.
