Falling is Not Failing

“I cannot do this.

I cannot do it at all.

If I try

I know I will fall

so I will sit and wait

tucked safely in here.

Safe, so very, very safe

with nothing to fear.”

“You do not understand.

While you hesitate

you change your course because

you are meant to participate.

By sitting it out

you are safe, it is true,

but you will not succeed because

you are here to do.”

Listen to the lesson

for it applies to all –

there is no guarantee

or protection from a fall.

But the surest way to fail

is to sit idly by

hiding, tucked away

not even giving a try.

  1. Very true, fear of trying is the worst thing of all, guaranteed failure. I try not to do this, but subconsciously, I think there’s something else going on – without my knowledge or agreement! 😉
