The lesson of the pearl

A coveted pearl

made inside an oyster on

the ocean floor

actually has

an unwanted parasite

at its core.

That clever oyster

knows how to make a negative

turn out pure and white.

Learn from the oyster –

make your trial beautiful

and turn it upside right!

  1. Yes, I’ve heard about how the pearls come about, very interesting and certainly something to learn from that. Often suffering and irritation, do cause us to learn and move on so much more! 🙂

  2. This was our mascot last week. The overall theme of camp was “Precious in His Sight” and each ward (group) had to pick a precious mineral or gem. We chose to be pearls. So I had a lot of time to think about pearls last week. And I discovered, the whole thing about pearls being made from a grain of sand is an urban legend. Unless, the site I looked at that said that was lying. Who knows?
    It’s still very interesting. 🙂
