Here’s an invitation for you this Christmas season.
First, let me explain. The other day I had the opportunity to share a lesson during church. I used as my resource President Boyd K. Packer’s General Conference address “The Reason for Our Hope.” It is a great talk on how we need to be nurturing our testimonies in Christ daily. It will be our testimony of Christ that will enable us to withstand the trials and adversities life tends to throw us.

How many conference talks teach us about loving one another? We should probably keep count.

We have a responsibility during our sojourn in this life. A responsibility to find and discover truth. But the task is ours and ours alone. I can share the truth I have found with you but it is up to you to recognize it and accept it. Because once we know truth, it affects our whole life and every decision we make.

We have a great gift – once we realize it. Each one of us is free to act and not be acted upon. That is an important realization and once we do catch sight of it, it becomes a great blessing.

“Which is the first great commandment?” Understanding the answer to this question would solve most of the world’s problems.

Why? Why do we do the things we do? There has to be a reason.
There is. There should be. This is it.

Last weekend I had the opportunity to listen to a true prophet of God speak. Such a wonderful message that I want to share.

It’s General Conference weekend! And since it takes a bit for the recent conference addresses to make it to the net, I’m using one from a year ago that tells us the importance of conference and what we should do with it.
Enjoy!
