The Keys and Authority of the Priesthood

by Dallin H. Oaks

This seems like a timely talk hitting on some key points causing confusion.  Personally, I don’t get all the hubabaloo concerning this.  All the talks and doctrine I have ever listened to make it perfectly clear to me.

All I can say to those argumentative folks not getting it is:  “That’s not how it works.  That’s not how any of this works”  (quoted from an e-surance commercial of all places).

Perhaps you have some questions about the Priesthood and/or Priesthood holders?  Check out this talk by Elder Oaks.

Understanding Who We Are Brings Self-Respect

by Harold B. Lee

I dug into the archives and found the very first conference talk that occured in my lifetime.  It’s interesting because this is the topic or subject matter I feel most impressed to share with the young women I work with.  How can I help them understand who they are?  Anyone who truly understands that he or she is a child of God can rise above the challenges thrown at him or her.  Knowing this, well, knowing this makes all the difference.
