We have a great gift – once we realize it. Each one of us is free to act and not be acted upon. That is an important realization and once we do catch sight of it, it becomes a great blessing.

There are a few reasons why I attend church every Sunday. Don’t get me wrong – it is not an easy thing for somebody with social anxiety to attend 3 hours of something totally out of my comfort zone. But I do. The most important reason is explained in the following link.

Last weekend I had the opportunity to listen to a true prophet of God speak. Such a wonderful message that I want to share.

It’s General Conference weekend! And since it takes a bit for the recent conference addresses to make it to the net, I’m using one from a year ago that tells us the importance of conference and what we should do with it.
Enjoy!

For the past three weeks I have shared the counsel and words of a prophet of God immediately following the 9/11 attacks. But what did he say 6 months ealier and five months prior to the attacks?
I was curious so I looked it up and will share.

I almost forgot about this. During the closing of this conference (mentioned in the previous two Sunday posts) President Hinckley offered a prayer. This is not normal to offer a prayer within a talk. But listen to a prophet of God pray for the people and the nation. It is beautiful.

This is part two of the segment I started last week. Listen to what a prophet of God had to say less than a month after the attacks on 9/11.
