I love you

I think you know it

but my love is shown imperfectly

it sometimes comes awkward and clumsy

but that’s the best

we humans can do.

I can’t save you

you can’t save me

sometimes we will make a mistake

that will cause each other’s heart to break

but that doesn’t make our love

any less true.

I love you

and I will do my best

though my best may at times fall short

I know I’ll still have your support

because in your imperfect way

you love me too.
