It’s that time of year again. September is Suicide Prevention and Awareness Month. Three days ago, September 10, was World Suicide Prevention Day. Let’s bust that long standing myth of not discussing it and meet this topic head on and talk about it.
I am not a professional counselor but I do know there are people out there that are. Those professionals spent lots of money and time to know how to help us with our broken parts. Unseen broken parts. So make contact with one of them. If the counselor you go to doesn’t fit your needs, go to another one.
The point is there is no shame in seeking help and getting the help that you personally need.
Your body is designed to live and survival mode kicks in when something tries to take that away. Fight as hard as your body will instinctively. You fight to stay here because you are here for a reason and a purpose. Hold onto that hope. Get through your dark night. Look for the sunrise. Do what you have to do to get to that sunrise.
I am pulling for you. I want you to win this.
