He’s not like he used to be

when he could get out and go

and no one would have to know

except now his old body

no longer lets him roam free.

Slow to prevent a stumble.

If caught he’d be in trouble.

The neighborhood gets nervous.

His cane aids his sole purpose

to help him do the Oscar Shuffle.
